"Blusapphire" is the hindi translation of my name...Neelam. For as long as I can recall, I have always left out the "e" in blue when referring to the color or the gemstone. It's my signature thing I guess... :)
Born in Moshi, Tanzania - a town situated on the lower slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Neelam was surrounded by tanzanite and sapphire gemstone mines. Her uncle, a precious gem expert, named her as he was inspired by the blusapphire's ability to bring peace, joy, and wisdom to the family. Blusapphires represent calmness, loyalty, and sympathy all of which describe Neelam today. It has also been known that the power of this gem lies deeply in it's ability to help with goal setting and finding solutions to challenging obstacles. It has felt like a lifetime of searching that Neelam has come to realize that the meaning of her name not only translates to her personal style of coaching but also to much of her essence as a woman, daughter, sister, friend, and life coach. For many years, working in the corporate world in marketing or technology related positions, left Neelam dissatisfied and frustrated. The money was great, the perks were fine, however the empty feeling at the end of the day made it difficult to stay in any one position for more than a year. Neelam was convinced that one day, her deeper calling and purpose would show itself clearly. After starting two unique entrepreneurial ventures, Neelam knew that what she was really meant to offer to the world would come through as her own entity. A place where she could express her creativity without judgement and policies. A place where her freedom to dream and achieve her dreams would inspire others to take that first step. The step inside, from a place of truth, openness, curiousity, and love. It was after a series of life experiences including the loss of her mother to cancer while she was engaged to be married that started the tred into new waters. Surviving a painful period of darkness and despair, along with a history of marriage proposals gone wrong, a shift in understanding and awareness began to take place. Sometimes things felt like they were starting to make sense, other times, these mini break throughs were often replaced by old thinking patterns and limiting beliefs. Similar actions presented the same results. One summer morning in 2008, Neelam awoke to a profound feeling of sadness, confusion, and heartache. This feeling was not triggered by any specific life event. It was a feeling from the deepest place, the core of her being. It lasted for 4 weeks until Neelam was introduced to a life coach. In a short period of time, a transformation began. An awakening. It was during this time that Neelam realized she wanted to inspire others to express who they are and live in their truth, just as she had been doing through her coaching journey. And so the training began.... Today, Neelam is a Certified Dream Coach® personally trained by Marcia Wieder, America's Dream Coach and founder/CEO of Dream University®. With a Marketing degree, a strong business acumen and ample experience in project management and organizational skills, Neelam is able to take clients through a 3 month, 10 step proven process in achieving their dreams. Also, as a graduate of the Foundations in Personal Leadership core program offered through the Newfield Network, Neelam incorporates elements of ontological coaching with a emphasis on how language, moods & emotions, and our physical body, or soma, are domains of conscious learning. As a fervent believer in personal development and the journey of self discovery and expression, Neelam continues to build her coaching programs based on holistic approaches utilizing spiritual laws & practices such as the law of attraction, abundant thinking, visualization, and somatics.
